S.S. Lazio were unable to hang onto its Serie A spot, being relegated by a clear margin. Despite having offensive players such as Bruno Giordano and Michael Laudrup at its disposal, Lazio struggled when it came to goalscoring, resulting in a mere two victories in the entire league season.
